Do not let your dog strain much as this will lead to heart problems. It is important to make the training less hectic and more fun in order to keep its mind and mental health balanced. 2. Grooming
Aging doesn’t stop your dog from getting properly groomed at regular intervals. With your dog’s growing age and reduced energy levels may make your dog more susceptible to illness and infections. Maintaining hygiene is most important. Regularly grooming, brushing and shampooing your dog will prevent it from falling ill and help it stay healthy.

3. Food care
It is important to feed your pooch right. The nutrition differs for different breeds according to their breed type and age. It is necessary to know what suits well for your pooch. Also with growing age, the food needs tend to differ as in the case of humans. Your pooch may tend to put on weight and turning tired often. It is recommended to feed your old age dog with a proper nutritious diet which is light and which gives it the required energy.
