Portuguese water dog is medium sized dog breed originating from Portugal. They are also known as Portie, PWD, Water Dog and Cao De Agua. They are used as working dogs and gun dogs. They grow as tall as 20-22 inches and weigh a maximum of 49-55 pounds. they have heavy bone structure and a muscular physique. Its coat is smooth and curly, enabling it resistance both inside and outside water. It is easy to train, are affectionate towards children and tend to be extremely loyal and loves to indulge in water sports. Energetic and brave, they are devoted to the family and are adventurous and playful. they get along well with other pets.
