Their appearance is noble and dignified. Their coat is long, hard and wiry. They are amiable, obedient and make excellent watch dogs. They are adventurous and love to indulge in sporting and retrieving activities. They are energetic, lively and breeds who are easy to train. They have a calm and composed demeanor. They get along well with other pets but are usually reserved of strangers.
