Malayans are medium sized cats originating from the United Kingdom. They are listed among cat breeds with longest life span. They live as long as 18 years. The males weigh 8-13 pounds and females weigh between 6-12 pounds. They have moderate bone structure and a compact muscular built. Its eyes are wide and almond shaped occurring in yellow color. Its coat is long or short with a glossy and satin like texture commonly found in black color. They are known to be affectionate and friendly breeds. They have a very loud voice and are extremely vocal. They tend to be obstinate at times. These gorgeous cat breeds get along well with children and are cordial with other pet breeds.
