Egyptian Mau are medium sized cat breeds originating from Egypt having the highest lifespan of 18-20 years. The male weigh between 10-14 pounds and females weigh between 6-10 pounds. They have moderate bone structure with well-muscled built. Their eyes are large and almond-shaped. They tend to turn green with growing age. Its coat is short or medium, silky and has a shining texture occurring in varied patterns. It is known to be highly intelligent and trainable cats. It enjoys playing with toys. They are obedient and do not get along well with other pet breeds. They are patient and cordial with children and reclusive of strangers.
