Cats are cute, cuddly and mysterious. They come in all shapes and sizes. They are “purr”fect epitome of cuteness. Yet there not are all small and petite. Some may stagger you with their extensive large size, yet are amiable and affectionate.
1.Maine Coon

Maine coon is all that is described above. Huge in size, gentle in heart. It's grotesque physic can make even the owner look like a tiny mole. It’s is the largest domesticated feline breed on earth native to Maine, United States. It carries itself like a lion, yet is extremely friendly breed with less demands. Its cuddly, fluffy and hairy. The average weight of Maine Coon is about 12-15 pounds. The male weighs 15-25 pounds and female weighs out 10- 15 pounds.
2.Savannah
A crossbred of Serval, a wild Cat and domestic Cat. These Cats are extremely long but are not heavy. They are fluffy and have striking black spots and hooded eyes. Savannah is considered as one of the largest breeds of Cat. Its size depends on how far its Serval ancestry is removed. Largest grown up Savannah weighs up to 30 pounds. An average Savannah weighs up to 25 pounds.
3.Siberian Cat
This breed which is native to Siberia. They are covered with a dense and thick coat. It carries itself with immense grace giving it a king like a look. They are extremely graceful and agile. They are very good jumpers. They have an average weight of 10-20 pounds. Because of their appearance, they are considered as “Russia’s Natural Treasure”. They are sturdy and chunky. The female Siberian Cat weighs 8-12 pounds and males up to 17 pounds.
4.Norwegian Forest Cat
Fluffy and hairy, sporting a noble look, Norwegian Forest Cat is larger than an average Cat. It is native to Northern Europe. It is endowed with an extensive shiny coat, which helps it to protect itself from the cold Scandinavian climate. It also ensures it a graceful disposition. It has a long and elegant body. It average weight is between 13-22 pounds.
5.Ragdoll

Ragdoll breed of cat has earned the sobriquet of “Puppy Cat” because of its calm and serene outlook. It is extremely friendly, and graceful. Its handsome semi haired coat and graceful disposition gives it an outstanding personality. These cuddly felines an average weight of 15-20 pounds. The males weigh 15-20 pounds and females weigh between 10-15 pounds.
6.Chausie
Chausie resembles its cousins from the wild jungle breed. To own this cat, will cost every penny they have, but its beauty is enough to allure the crowd. An average Chausie weighs 15-20 pounds. The male weighs up to 22 pounds and the female can weigh between 8-15 pounds.
7.Turkish Van
Turkish Van grows up to a height of 3 ft. These beautiful and rare breeds originate from Central and Southwest Asia. They are excellent hunters and known for their aggressive behavior. They lack the presence of an undercoat, unlike other breeds. The average weight of a Turkish Van ranges between 9-18 pounds.
8.Ragamuffin
This breed shares similar traits with Ragdoll breed of cats. These are a muscular and heavy breed of feline taking approximately 4-5 years to be fully grown. They are extremely affectionate an friendly with a calm temperament. An average Ragamuffin weighs between 1-17 pounds. An adult Ragamuffin female weighs 10-15 pounds and males up to 20 pounds.
9.British Shorthair.
With their predator like look, the British Shorthair are listed amongst one of the largest short-haired species around. Unlike its cold appearance these species are extremely affectionate, friendly and love creatures. If you are in need of a wonderful companion who would fill your life with excitement, British Shorthair would fit the bill perfectly. An average British Shorthair weighs 9-18 pounds.
10.American Bobtail
These are extremely playful and social breeds. It takes an average of 2-3 years for American Bobtails to grow fully compared to normal cats. They are moderately long with a short tail. These breeds are largest of the Bobtails breed. They have an intelligent wild cat look and are moderately energetic. An average American Bobtail weighs 7-15 pounds. The female weighs 7-15 pounds and male weighs in between 12-16 pounds.
