10 Animals You Should Never Keep As A Pet

Pets are companions who with their presence make humans get an escape from mundane. Pets take away our stress, shower us with immense love and look forward for our company.

It has been noted since eons where humans and animals have found solace in each other’s company. It is seen different people around the world, like to pet different animals. A number of species are domesticated since ages, few among them creating tight bonds with humans like cats and dogs.

Though with training and care any animal can turn out to be man’s companions, but not all can fit the bill perfectly. there are animals, which if petted will prove dangerous for human life.

Here in this section we have listed those animals which are least recommended to keep as pet.

 

1.Big Cats

Cats are cute, cats are adorable. They make one of the best pets. but Big Cats, can prove to be dangerous. The dweller of jungle, Lion, Tigers, Leopards are also listed among the felines. But these felines are dangerous to keep at home as pet. They are aggressive and treacherous.

 These creatures are used to live in the wild and being kept locked can turn them more wild. Often these cats are de-clawed to reduce danger, which makes them unable to walk properly, at times leading to paralysis when done incorrectly.

 

2.Crawling Reptiles

These skin shedding species are also listed among the animals not recommended to be kept as pets. Venomous snakes can prove deadly if kept home. Though many nonvenomous species are used as pet, still venomous pets are not advisable to keep as pets. Snakes like cobra and Russel viper can lead to death instantly by their bite, sometimes leaving you blind and in excess pain for lifetime. And if you are thinking to pet a Python, Beware! They can squeeze the life out of you.

 

3.Primates

Primates are almost like humans, but they are not humans. Lemurs, chimpanzees and baboons fall in the category of primates. Primates are least recommended as pets, as they are carriers of many dangerous diseases. They are known for throwing tantrums. Pet a primate and you can find the house turning topsy-turvy.  They are childlike and tend to scream at the top of their voice.  A bite from them will land you becoming patient of Hepatitis and HIV.

 

4.Foxes

These ancestors of some dog breeds are not the ones to be kept at home. They are wild, cunning and treacherous. They resemble domesticated dogs, but they are nowhere a close to them in terms of behavior.  They are moody, sometimes becoming tame, You will be completely taken by shock when their volcanic temper explode. These creatures carry a musky odor and often when scared will not mind resorting harm to its master.

 

5.Wolves

 

It is tamed and calm, the one who acts according to its instincts. They will not mind making you their meal when hunger instinct gives kick in them. They have an excellent sense of smell and can spot their prey from far.  The wolf dog has proved to be exception among the wolves family,  who have gained popularity as pets. Like wild cats, these species of creation are not trustworthy when it comes to attacking when provoked or scared.

 

6.Bats

The flying mammals are far from being a lovable companion. These nocturnals are better left off house. They carry rabies, SARS in their teeth, and a bite from them can land you in hospital, almost in the hands of death. They can live up to 30 years and diet on fruits, nuts and bloods.

 

7.Bears

Bears are cuddly, fluffy and cute,  but only until they are small or in the form of a soft toy.  A  fully grown bear can weigh up to  1500 pounds. A fully grown bear can anytime tower over you standing on their hind legs. They are aggressive and with a hit from their claw can land you in the embrace of death. They are habituated to roam in the wild and its risky to keep them locked, without facing their wrath.

 

8. Alligators and crocodiles.

They grow fast and can reach up to 14 feet and will turn impossible to accommodate inside your house. These species are listed among the least recommended species to pet.  They are carnivorous and are powerful enough to tear your flesh apart. A hit from its tail can prove lethal. There is also risk of getting into clutches and losing your limbs. Alligators and crocodiles can cause serious infections from bites. Its better to leave them free to wander in wild.

 

9. Kinkajous

These tiny popular species of raccoon family, weighing seven pounds is smaller than its coati cousin. Though endowed with cute and innocent looks, that doesn’t leave from being an dangerous creature for humans. They ate endowed with sharp teeth which can cause everlasting wounds. They are very active, nocturnal and are popular for their aggression which erupts from time to time in different occasions.

 

10.Coatis

It is truly said habits die hard. And this fits perfectly for coatis. Native to south America, these species of raccoon family are wild creatures, who are better left in wild to roam freely. There set of sharp teeth is an easy tool that can cause you serious injuries and infection. Coatis have an aggressive temperament and are extremely active often seen hunting for food. They are difficult to train and do not lose their wild nature even when kept as pet.
