Gambel’s Quail also known as Callipepla gambelii are small sized ground dwelling bird. It is found across the desert regions of Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Texas, and Sonora. They weigh 160 to 200 g and grow up to a size of 16 inches. They have a lifespan of 1.5 years. Its diet comprises of plants. Gambel's quail have bluish-gray plumage on much of their bodies, and males have copper feathers on the top of their heads, black faces, and white stripes above their eyes.
