California Gull also known as Larus californicus are medium sized birds spread around California. They weigh between 430 to 1045 g and grow up to 22 inches in size. They have a similar appearance like the herring gull except having a smaller yellow bill with a black ring, yellow legs, brown eyes and a more rounded head. They have a life expectancy of 24 years and their diet comprises of insects, fishes, and eggs.
