Also known as Hungarian sheepdog, Komondor is large sized purebreds from Hungary. They are used as working dogs and guardian dog breeds. They grow to a height of 25.5 inches and weigh a maximum of 125 pounds. They have moderate bone structure and muscular built. Its long legs render it a far-reaching and free gait with a smooth landing. Their coat is wavy, resembling tassel-like cords. As guardian dogs, they are used to guard and keep a watch on the sheep. They are independent thinkers and often prove to be obstinate and domineering. It is reclusive towards strangers and often aggressive with other dog breeds. They are cordial with other pets and live stocks. It is protective of children and is often known to have a clam and composed demeanor.
