Totally royal in all ways, may it be its gait or appearance, Ibizan hound is full of elegance and grace. Its long legs give it good access to take long leaps and jumps. Its gait is far reaching and powerful. It grows to a height as tall as 29 inches and weighs between 42-55 pounds. Its coat is short and hard, thus prone to less shedding. Belonging to the hound breed, Ibizan Hound has great hunting instinct. They are alert and guarding, with an extensive sense of smell and hearing. They are reclusive of strangers, and often tend to bark, a trait inherited from its hound gene. They are trustworthy, calm and faithful companion dogs.
