Caucasian Ovtcharka is giant dogs originating from Circassia, Soviet Union, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. They are also known as Bombora, CO, Caucasian and Circassian sheep dog. they have heavy bone structure and muscular built. Its coat is long and smooth giving it the appearance of lion-like mane occurring in varied colors. It grows as tall as 24-33 inches and weighs maximum of 80-100 pounds. They are known to be intelligent and energetic breeds. in contrast to its appearance it is gentle and calm in demeanor. It is strongly territorial which makes them aggressive towards strangers and other etc breeds. They have strong guarding instincts. They tend to be protective of children.
