Caravan Hound also known as Mudhol Dog, Caravan Hound, Karwani, Lahori Pashmi, Pashmi and Pisuri Hound are large size dog breeds originating from India found near Deccan Plateau. They are used as hunting breeds and as guarding dogs. They have heavy and lean bone structure with a muscular built. the males grow as tall as 27-28 inches and females up to 25-27 inches. they weigh as much as 22-28 kg. its gait is effortless and speedy. Its coat is short and smooth occurring in different colors. They are known to be brave and intelligent breeds who can be easily trained. They have an excellent sense of sight and smell enabling them to chase its prey. Its graceful and elegant. They get along well with children. They may tend to be wary of strangers and other pet breeds.
