Norwegian Forest Cat are ranked amongst large cat breeds originating from Norway. They are also known as Skogkatt / Skaukatt, Norsk Skogkatt / Norsk Skaukatt and Weegie. The males grow to a maximum of 116 pounds and females up to 12 pounds. its coat is long, silky and thick rendering it protection from cold winter climate. Its eyes are big round and expressive. They have a similar resemblance to Maine Coon breeds of cats. They are known to be alert and curious. They enjoy being in company of children and humans. They are well behaved with other pets and also strangers. They are even tempered and have a composed disposition.
