As we all know, when all around the world, the day of love is spent with vigor and valor, there is somebody waiting for splurging their bunch of love on you. Your pets love you a lot and you know it. They too would like snuggle in your love. Amidst the fervor of Valentine’s day do not forget to take care of the safety of your pets. In excitement and fun your pet may sneak out and put its hands on something that can be harmful for their health.

These Dos and Don’ts this Valentine are a must if you have a pet at your place.

1.Keep them away from Chocolates

Gifts are a common sight and receiving Chocolates and flowers as gift always tops the list. But while you are busy enjoying your date, your pet may silently sneak into your room and have all your chocolates eaten up. Chocolates are said to be mood boosters, eating which can make anybody happy instantly. But in case of your canine it is favorable. Canines are allergic to chocolates, though canines like to indulge into chocolate temptations. It can cause nausea, rapid set in of hypoglycemia which can eventually also lead to death as they are toxic to them.

2.Distance them from harmful substances.

Some gifts may be good for humans, and we may adore to flaunt it, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they would be good for your pet’s health as well. Certain presents like flowers and scents may be allergic to your pet’s health. When come in contact with them can cause discomfort for them and may even turn major health issue if left unnoticed.

If you have a cat at place, be careful to keep them away from lilies. Though flowers are known to spread cheer and happiness everywhere, in case of your cat it may be the other way down. Cats are allergic to lilies, even slight contact with lilies and its pollen can lead to kidney failure for cats. Certain types of balloons and flowers, ribbons, bows and scents are not suitable for your dog’s health. They can lead to long-term problems, affecting their intestinal system.

3.Shower your love.

Not only humans need love and get happy when showered with love, but also animals are in constant need of love. And who wouldn’t like to be made to feel special and cared. This Valentine do not forget to spread a bit of love for your pets also. There are many ways to do so, like buy your pet a new collar, treat it with new toys, decorate its resting place and get some new pet food. In case you do not own a pet, yet you are a pet lover, you can show your love by donating money to pet adoption centers, by this at least some animal will get a life of peace.

More than gifts your pets will more appreciate your love and your time. Instead of just splurging your pet with gifts for it to be engaged in them, it will be much better if you can spare some time of yours and spend it with your pet.

It’s truly said, time is the most precious gift that anybody can give to other and which alone without saying speaks out your love for them.

5.Bring home a pet.

If you are among those who is going to spend their valentine’s day all alone, this is the best time to spend it doing something good. It’s the best time to visit a pet rescue center or an adoption center and spend some quality time with your furry buddies. Play and stroll. If you already have a pet, it is even much better to go on a holiday to some place where you both can enjoy each other’s company in silence and solitude.

6.Keep a check on their consumption.

Many food products like Macadamia nuts, coffee, certain types of fruits and candies may be toxic to your pet’s health. While being engrossed in enjoying Valentine’s day do not forget to keep a tab on what your pet is laying its hands on.
