1. Chihuahua

 

These short haired pint-sized dog breeds hardly need any grooming. They shed less, thereby causing less illness. Due to their small size, grooming takes hardly any time at all. training them can be bit tenacious as these are known for their stubbornness.

2. Australian Cattle Dog

These are among the few dog breeds whose visit to the vet is minimal. They are not high maintenance dog breeds, needing occasional baths and trimming of nails and brushing of the teeth.

3. Labrador Retriever

These favorites among humans shed less and are easy to groom. They fall less ill, thus decreasing their visits to the vet. The main thing on them is to keep their ears clean so they don’t get infections, other than that they are a pretty low maintenance.

4. Dachshund

These are another breed who require less maintenance as compared to other dog breeds. they shed less. They fall less ill and are easy to train.

5. Russell Terrier

Russell Terrier requires occasional bathing, grooming and brushing to keep them healthy. They may in intervals encounter the problem of shedding, which can be bit time-consuming. But otherwise, they are pretty easy to live with.

6. Miniature Pinscher

These Miniature Pinscher are the most easiest to maintain. Pertaining to their short coat, they shed less. Another bonus with this breed is they require minimal bathing and doesn’t need to be fed much, thus avoiding them from grievous health problems.

7. Beagle

They require occasional bath and shed less. Similar to Labrador, it's important to keep a check on their drooping ears, otherwise these high energetic breeds are pretty easy to maintain.

8. Dalmatian

Dalmatian have a very short coat which sheds less. They are safe and doesn’t spread illness due to shedding. They may though encounter certain health issues that can be tackled well off with proper care and maintenance.

9. Boston Terrier

They require moderate training, they shed less and hardly needs any grooming, making them grab a place amongst the most low maintenance breed.

10. Bullmastiff

Bullmastiff tops the list of low maintenance dog breeds. Their coat is short and sheds less. They are easy to train and have less health issues.

The health and maintenance of the dog not only depend solely on the breed, but also its responsible task on the shoulders of the owners. Proper diet, training,  proper grooming, good environment and regular exercises are some of the areas that the owner has to take off.
