Western Scrub-Jay also known as Aphelocoma californica are small sized migratory bird originating from California. They have a lifespan of 19 years and weigh a maximum of 80 g. They grow to a size up to 12 inches. They are insectivorous and their diet comprises mainly of insects and worms. They have the beautiful coloration of blue spread throughout their body with white coloration on its belly.
