Western Kingbird is also known as Tyrannus verticalis are medium sized Tyrant flycatching birds originating from western North America. They are insectivorous breeds who primarily feed on a diet comprising of insects and worms. They weigh a maximum of 40 g and grow up to a size of 8 to 9.3 inches. They have a life expectancy of 6 years. At the onset of winter, they migrate to southern Mexico and Central America. They have olive coloration throughout the body and are known to be territorial protecting its territory from even larger breeds like hawks.
