Canyon Towhee also is known as Melozone fusca are medium sized birds originating from Arizona, southern Colorado and western Texas. They weigh between 36.5 to 67 g and grow up to a size of 9.8 inches. They have an earthy brown in color, with somewhat lighter underparts and a somewhat darker head with a rufous cap there is also a slightly reddish area beneath the tail.
