American Robin also is known as Turdus migratorius are songbirds originating from North America. They are omnivorous species who generally feed on a diet comprising of fruits, berries and earthworms and most of the insects. They weigh as much as 77 g and grow to a size ranging from 9 to 11 inches in height. They have beautifully patterned feathers and a sharp small beak. Its belly is brown in color and feathers black and white. They have a short lifespan of 13 months when in captive.
