Chow Chow is a squarely built, muscular dog with heavy bone structure. It is an all-rounder, specialized in a number of tasks from herding to hunting. It has a moderate coat covering which is glossy and shiny providing it ample insulation from the cold. Its eyes are tiny and inside the muzzle, giving it a woolen clothing like the look. Its legs are short, thus its lithe appears to be forced. The scowling expression and black tongue are essential components of breed type. Just like its appearance this breed is reserved and obstinate. It gels out well with other dog breeds and is reclusive to strangers. It has an air of royalty and regal personality, with an independent outlook of expression. It is extremely devoted and watchful towards its family and loving companion to its family.
