Cairn Terrier also known as Cairn and Toto Dog are small sized dogs originating from the United Kingdom. They are used as Terrier breeds. The males grow as tall as 10-13 inches and females up to a height of 9-12 inches. they weigh between 13-18 pounds. Its coat is medium length double coat with a soft undercoat and harsh outer coat occurring in varied colors. Its gait is smooth and ground covering. Belonging to the Terrier breeds, they are energetic and obstinate. They need regular physical and mental exercise to keep their temperament at bay, lest they tend to grow aggressive and destructive. They tend to bark and enjoys digging the ground. they are aggressive towards other pet breeds and get along well with strangers. They are wary towards strangers.
