Bergamasco is large size dog breeds originating from Italy. They are also known as Bergamasco Shepherd Dog and Bergermaschi. They are used as herding breeds. they are known for their peculiar coat which is thick, dense and matted. It grows as tall as 24 inches and weighs between 57-84 pounds. In contrast to its appearance, it is calm and patient. It makes excellent watch dogs and guards dogs. It is extremely caring towards children. It tends to be reserved with strangers.
