Both cats and dogs both are the most sought pets, being unique and different in their own way. The age old debate goes on the world to prove who is better? Cats or Dogs. Where at on one hand they are stated as sworn enemies of each other on the other hand when acquainted well they make to be best of friends for each other. Most of the time the choice depends upon what sort of an owner or master you are and your requirement for animal companionship.

Starting with the most loved breed. Dogs are known for their loyalty, protective nature and their immense loving nature. You can always confide on a dog, hardly leaving you ungoverned. They are protectors, guardians and great pets. Looking for a companion and a partner in crime, dogs make the best companions in field and house. One downside of dogs are they are attention seekers. Lack of attention will end up making them more susceptible to aggression and boredom.

Cats are known to be intelligent and aloof. Though they also have their pangs of attention seeking, yet they often come across as aloof and mysterious. How much they like spending time together, they also like to spend time alone in solace and its own space. Another aspect where your cat gets a point extra in its kitty is introducing it to strangers. Dogs in this matter are known to be inquisitive and suspicious and often over excited seeing new people. They are known to bark and bounce when somebody new enters their house. Cats on the another hand often like to be in their space. If it wishes to introduce itself or like the guest it can be known by its gestures. It will sit with its tail wagging stating its likeness for the guest.

Being a feline, cats are known to be totally carnivorous. Anything other than meat doesn’t go well with its digestive system. Dogs are omnivorous, any type of food gels up well with its system. Cats are good hunters for rodents and other pests, which dogs are not adept to. Cats urine smell worst in comparison to dog’s urine, which needs to be dealt with when indoors. Cats are susceptible to become prey of owls in rural areas, while dogs are known to ward off any harmful creatures.
